What We Do

Team Green Recycling, LLC’s area of business is to collect, recycle, and market waste food products from food processing plants for use as a consumer good. This recycled product will meet three critical needs:

  1. It will give food processing plants a feasible alternative to landfilling the waste, and
  2. It will help meet the growing demand for organic waste for production of Biogas. The material that will be recycled is packaged food that has been damaged, expired, or taken out of production, and finally
  3. Packaging materials can be recycled.

Our recycled waste will be targeted toward Biogas producers and other recycling facilities for packaging materials. All of these potential customers will benefit from the organic waste for Biogas production and recycling centers for metals, plastics, cardboard and other packaging materials. Our goal is to recycle 100% of the waste products.

What Drives Us

On September 16, 2015 the USDA and EPA announced the first ever national food waste reduction goal of 50% reduction by 2030.

House Bill 592 signed into law on June 24, 1988, dramatically revised Ohio’s outdated solid waste regulatory program. The bill emphasized the need to reduce Ohio’s reliance on landfills for disposal of waste by increasing solid waste reuse, recycling and minimization efforts.

Team Green Recycling’s plan in this effort is to reduce organic waste going to landfills by recycling waste packaged food into useful products.
